Transparent background rendering doesn't work

Hi,

I'm suddenly having trouble rendering pictures with a transparent background even though I've done it a million times before. I've tried with various settings and always with the Transparent Background checkmarked both before rendering and when downloading the PNG or TIFF.

Has anyone experienced the same thing?

Hi @ottooemann

Thanks for posting. I had a look at this today and found that in all my files, at least one of the transparent background export options (PNG or TIFF) worked. We do have some known issues with only one or the other picture format working - this has been logged internally as FUS-39686 and is currently being investigated by our development team.

If you have a file that will not download with a transparent background in either PNG or TIFF format, please share it with me using any of the techniques at this link - I'm happy to have a look.

Does downloading the rendering from https://rendering-beta.360.autodesk.com/myrenderings produce a transparent background?

I'm having this issue as well and see that this message string starts in July, but now it's September and no resolution? I am running a business here and would like to see this issues are addressed in a timely manner.  Is there still no update?

Hi @mikealmodova

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately this one is taking our rendering team some time to look into. They are actively investigating this behavior and will provide a fix as soon as possible.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Usually the problem here is that one of the formats (PNG or TIFF) will not work with the transparent background but the other will, so please try creating a transparent PNG if you have not already.

I'm having a similar issue, except when rendering with a transparent background the entire image is white. No parts visible.

Can someone help me understand what I'm doing wrong here? See video. Transparent background rendered images export empty.

2023 and you can't even check the "transparent background" box.

Hmm. update: I hit "in canvas render" and it renders. If I press "save image", the "transparent background" is not selectable. But, I noticed that the "stop rendering" button is active. Hit that and now I can save with a transparent background.
