Student License will not activate

Hello everyone,

I am having trouble with getting the student license for Fusion 360 activated. I created an account on this site: https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/students-teachers-educator , and filled in all the required information.
At the end, I got to the download link where I downloaded the installer. After installation, I received the message that my license will be activated in a few days.

This has been over a month ago and the trial version has expired by now, but my license has not been activated so far. When I click on the icon within Fusion 360 to activate my license, I only get taken where I started. Reinstalling didn't help.
Is there a known bug or am I doing something wrong?

Any help is seriously appreciated.

Thank you very much,
Ivo

Hello @Anonymous,

thanks for posting! We already have a support case opened for you and one of your agents will contact you via e-mail. In the meantime, you might have a look at this knowledge article: Fusion 360: I have an educational license but my download says it's a 30 day free trial.

I'm curious as well if you were using multiple email addresses to log in to Fusion 360 and the Community Forum. Signing in with a different ID via the forum or in another place could impact the behavior of Fusion 360. It can be solved by:

  1. Signing out of your Autodesk account / Fusion 360
  2. Clearing the cache in your web browser
  3. Restarting your machine
  4. Signing back in.

Please accept as solution if my post fully resolves your issue, or reply with additional details if the problem persists.

Hello Pawel,

Thank you for  replying so quickly.

I already followed the instructions that come up when I click the "term expired" button. This only leads me to the page I got Fusion from originally.

I actually only have one single account for Autodesk; but I can try your suggestions once I am able to restart my computer. I can't do that right now because of other long term processes running.

I think I will wait for the reply of the support team before I proceed.

Regards

Ivo

Hi

I received the same issue with my account. I tried the steps you listed to fix the problem, but Fusion 360 still says it’s on the 30-day trial. Do you have any other suggestions to help the issue?

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous

I can see from our end that your license has been activated. When did you sign up for it? It can take some time to show.

I signed up during this month, and I’m happy to say that when I used Fusion 360 earlier today, it said my education license was activated.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
