Top Bar missing

Up to two weeks ago everything worked fine but my Fusion screen now appears with the top bar missing. Running Windows 10, I tried Ctr+Alt+R but this brings up a Hp (my computer) recovery page. . Earlier today I had an unexpected error when loading F360 but second time loading went OK.

I did a clean de-install and reinstalled but the problem persists.

I would much appreciate any help .

Hi @Anonymous,

I think I know what you are referring to - this is a bug we have been investigating ever since we removed the option to collapse/uncollapse that file toolbar. More information can be found in this forum post here. It seems that the solution is to do a manual clean uninstall and reinstall (I know, I do apologize for the tedious nature of having to uninstall/reinstall multiple times). The article for performing a manual clean uninstall can be found here

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting! Are you missing the file, save, and data panel buttons, as shown in this article? If so, there are a few solutions that may work to resolve this problem presented at the link. Please let me know if this helps - you should be able to attach a screenshot to a forum post using the "Photos" button if you continue to have problems.Screen Shot 2017-09-26 at 8.52.29 AM.png

Hi James,

I did a manual uninstall and reinstalled after that but the problem persists.  Will try again if nothing else helps, but am not very hopeful. Anyhow, many thanks for trying to  solve this.. Maarten

Hi @Anonymous,

Awesome, let me know how it goes. If that fails too, I'd love to set up some time to chat with you so I can see this issue first hand and hopefully document it better.

Thanks,

Hi James,

Did a manual deinstall and reinstalled. No luck ,same problem. Did it again, removing all autodesk files and directories. Reinstalled and again no top bar.  Tried all the different solutions that were put forward, without succes.

Concerning a chat,  what time zone are you in ? I have CET - Paris time.

regards, Maarten

I have tried everything now and am fairly desperate. As my Turbocad program also has anomalies, I think the probleme lies not with Autodesk/Fusion but with Microsoft. I keep getting error 87 when starting up and Microsoft support could not solve that..

Will continue this thread when I solve the problem. Many thanks to everybody.

Your answers to jgp.koop (create a new account and how to do that) solved the problem. Many thanks to all.
