Tool library import from Format 4

Hi!

How to import tool library from Format4 CNC-machine? Tool library in CNC´s computer is in folder named "Tecno" and it contains several files but they all seems to be in wrong format for Fusion360. Is there some way to convert these files to correct format?

I think that import is done same way with Busellato's CNCs since they are using more or less same kind of post processor.

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting! Unfortunately, tool libraries in Fusion may only use the .TOOLS, .JSON, .TSV, and .HSMLIB file extensions and I do not believe there is any straightforward way to convert the tools in your Format4 library to one of these file formats.

I believe you will need to recreate your tool library within Fusion 360 - we apologize for any inconveniences this may cause you. This video may help you gain an overview and show some tips and tricks for working with tool libraries in Fusion. I also think a conversion tool for tool libraries would be a great request for the HSM Ideastation - you'd have my vote!

Please let me know if you have any questions - I am happy to help.
