Temporary files on cloud system?

I know Fusion 360 is cloud-based software, but I was wondering if there is a guarantee that any of the files I work on Fusion 360 will not leave any evidence on cloud system. I would be exporting/saving files locally, but I need a guarantee that not even temporary file or any evidence is left on the cloud system.

If not, would it be safer to use Inventor?

Fusion is not really cloud based, the file storage is cloud based and some functions like render and Generative design but the main program is run from your hard disk. One other function that is partly done online is translation, standard file types like STP, IGS and SAT are translated locally but others and done on the cloud.

If you only save files using export to F3D, STP, IGS and SAT nothing will end up on the cloud, if you export to other file types the translation will be done online.

There are some restrictions if you only save locally like no assemblies using linked parts and no 2d drawings by the way.

Got it. So if I am working on the following, is it safe to know that everything is stored locally? :

1. Converting .obj file to .stl file

2. Create CNC tool path based on the converted .stl file.

Thank you!

Did you try it?

That doesn’t sound like a good workflow.

Yes, I've been working like this. But would there be better workflow?

I first use Meshmixer on 3D scanned .obj file, refine it, and convert the refined .obj file to .stl file using Fusion 360. Then, another person creates tool path with the .stl file, and CNC it.
