Team member to open and use all projects in hub without changing them

Hi,

we would like to combine our team (~20 members) in a hub.

Every team member should be able to open almost all the projects and use them as part in their own project in Fusion 360.

But it's important that they are not be able to change, edit or delete the original project.

Is this possible? Which rights should they get?

If they are added as viewer to a project they see it only in the web but not in the Windows Application.

It's useless if they can download it and have to upload it again.

What would you recommend to achieve this easily?

Thank you in advance

KR

Hi, Thanks for using FusionTeam.

  • You can Invite all your 20 members of the team to Team as Team members (role available at Team level).
  • Maintain all your Projects as Closed.
  • Ask your team members to send an invite to Projects (they want to access) and ask your Project Admin to approve/reject after validation - One-time job.
  • Once approved, the Project admin has to go to Project details > View members section and set the user as a viewer (only).
  • then Viewer user won't be able to download or upload but just view this as shown below snapshot.
  • viewer download missing.pngviewer invite.png

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply.

But it's essential that the team member can download this project and use
it as a part in his own project.

He shouldn't be able to upload, overwrite, change, move or delete the
original project,

And of course that has to be possible in Windows Fusion360 program.

Any idea?

Thank you for your help!

It is not possible the way you were checking. However, there is another workaround I can think of right now is to do make that model available for Public share and share it to viewers allowing them to download and make changes as required.

Make note of all the shares (generated by project admin) of that template project and put them in word document available to download.

Hope this helps.
