Subtracting one body from another

Hi. I am simply trying to subtract one body from another to create an internal void within the main body. How do i do that? The internal void I want to create is for a simple hex nut that will be pressed into the soft rubber main body. So the hex nut void is in the shape of the hex nut, obviously.

Presuming your hex body has no threaded hole,  Use Extrude to fill the hole.

Combine > Cut the nut from the rubber.

Might help...

Please attach your model.  Open in Fusion 360, select the File Menu, then Export and save to you hard drive.  Attach it to a reply post using the Attachment section.

Thanks! Right after I asked the question I figured it out. When I extruded that hex shape inside the main body, I realized there's a CUT option when extruding and after checking that cut box , that did the trick.

Thanks. FYI, I had trouble using the combine command earlier in the day (before I posted the question) because it would not select that internal extruded hex body to complete the cut.

You use cut in the combine tool.

Use push/pull to remove the centre bit.
