I'm trying to wrap some sketch curves around a cylinder. Since the design is symmetrical, I want to project 1/4 of the design, then pattern it 4 times. The cylinder is 4" in diameter, so I create sketch features that are 3.14" (pi*D/4) wide. I assumed that a projected line (which becomes an arc on the face of the cylinder) would have the same length, but it is much shorter. How do I calculate my line width so that my pattern edges will line up?
