Space Mouse rotation issues

When using the space mouse, the view will randomly snap to a different position when rotating around the part. Space mouse was only given one constant input at a time for the video. This happens randomly on most any models I open. Fusion is updated to the latest, updated drivers. Does this with both of my wireless spacemouse.

Specs:

Threadripper 1920x

Quadro P4000

4k screen

Spacemouse Wireless

EDIT: added screencast recording

don't know if this would help but I had a lot of trouble with my caddmouse wireless causing crashes and glitching.  you might try plugging your space mouse in to see if it behave better.

I don't think the issue resides with the space mouse. My other 3d software do not have the issue. Knock on wood, but Fusion rarely crashes at all for me. It looks like it is a  more of a graphical glitch. I edited to add the screen cast recording showing what was actually happening.

Yeah I see it now.

here is something to try. Try moving your regular mouse pointer off the edge of the window and then do the same motions.

I’ve noticed that my system gets really glitchy if I’ve got my pointer in there because it keeps trying to select and highlight things which seems to whack it out.

if I move the pointer off the window it seems much smoother.

another thing to check is if the “dominant” box is checked in the 3Dconexxion settings. That caused me a bunch of headaches recently.

I have also seen this issue.

For me it was in a project where the model was placed very far from the origin, after I moved the model close to origin rotation worked like normal again.

I has the same issue that persisted with restart of Fusion and connecting the wireless space mouse to USB.  I had a custom orientation set as home and as soon as I touched the space mouse, it would flip back to the Fusion default and also lock z-axis rotation with the space mouse.

The locked rotation made me think it was somehow setting constrained orbit despite the thing showing free orbit.

I changed the orbit from free to constrained then back to free.  The issue went away.
