Sketched geometry shows as dotted line font instead of solid font in Drawing

Hello all,

just did some simple sketch with curves and created a drawing. All my geometry lines show as dotted lines instead of a solid line font. Apologize if I missed it in forum.

Thanks for posting in the forums! Are you talking about construction geometry in the sketch environment?

If not, could you please post a picture or screencast of what you're seeing?

I was not using construction lines, not that I know anyhow. Please see attached for modeling module and drawing module and you will see what I am referring to.

I did a Sketch in Modeling, created a drawing "for design", added a base view and my curves in sketch look like in that second image.

If you've created a 2d drawing then yes sketch lines show as dotted lines. Normally sketches are only used to add reference lines in a 2d drawing and the 3d model is used to create the main views.

Thanks Mark,

that did take care of main lines(solid edges). Is there a way now to see both solid edges as well as miscellenious curves that are not built into solid and done in modeling. What is happening now is solid is obscuring anything within it's  footprint (even if I choose say top view and make the solid "below" the curves.

Seems to work for me. Have you toggled the sketch as visible in the drawing (Sketch folder and Sketch). The round feature below is from a sketch. Only time I've seen a problem was using a section view, the sketch need to be on the side of the section that's visible. Also can you use the Photo option to embed pictures, the forum viewer is slow and it's difficult to look at more than one picture.

I was playing with it and stumbled upon the solution.. The issue was that despite my Sketch being "shown" yellow light beside sketch with my reference lines, lines were not visible in drawing.

This happens if both yellow lights are not turned "ON", see screen capture. My Sketch "TOP and Back..." was "ON" but my main Sketch "folder" was not which caused Sketch lines to not be visible.

As I said above can you please use the Photo option to embed pictures and not attach them.
