Sheetmetal Crash

Found a repeatable crash. I selected a face for unfolding a sheet metal part but clicked flat pattern by mistake, so I then clicked unfold. This created a flat pattern I didn't want so I clicked undo while in the flat pattern workspace and crash.

I have submitted a couple of crash reports, this is the last one. error report CER_198681887

Edit I was going to add a screencast but the crash report has my email address. Even though I tried to edit out the end of the screencast the last frame is not edited out.

@HughesTooling I can't repeat the crash on a simple test of creating a flat pattern and hitting undo.

Can you share the model, or any other details? There must be something about the data that's a little different than my test files. Another thing about this, it's related to undo, not sheet metal, according to the other reports in the bucket.

Thanks again for posting.

It took me a few attempts to reproduce - but now I can reproduce the issue.

I will post a video when it is done compiling.

I'm following the video, still can't find the magic step. What do you think it is?

Preselect the face you want to unfold from, click flat pattern. With the flat pattern dialog open click unfold don't cancel the flat pattern first, this should give you a flat pattern you don't want so click undo.

That's a bit going around the houses... but it works. Got the steps now. Thanks for the report.

I think you'll find the last frame is dropped when it's uploaded, at least it did for me a few months ago.

Yes I thought that as well but I tried twice yesterday and even attached the first screencast but when I watched it through the last frame was still there.

Yes I know I edited the video and it left the last frame. In the past it has worked but yesterday it didn't. Someone else reported it a while ago and I figured they'd done something wrong but twice yesterday it didn't work so must be a bit hit or miss.

Keep recording, close the CER and then edit all of that out should work.

So - record beyond anything you want to edit out.
