Server Verification Warning Conundrum

"Unable to validate a security certificate. Many times this can be triggered by proxy servers, security software, or out of date OS patches.

Please visit the "Network/Server Verification" preference page if you would like to change this setting."

This will randomly pop up, and I have never been able to figure out why, but I never really cared. I usually clicked "Work Offline" and continued with my work, a short time later I would run into another error/issue that Fusion is prone to exhibit and so I would click "Work Online".

I was getting ready to machine some parts and the error popped up. As usual I can select "Trust Anyway" "Work Offline" or "Cancel".

However.

It does not matter what I click or how many times I click, the screen does not go away.

That in and of itself is not a problem, except that if I open the part file in a new instance the changes that I made to the program and part are not showing up. In fact it shows nothing and acts as though I haven't had the part open since October.

I spent several hours trimming the programmed time off this part, and it is very frustrating to be constantly losing money to known bugs and issues.

So, what do I do?

It is not a great fix but it should get the job done until Autodesk fixes the issue.  After that, you can turn it back on to continue to Warn if there truly is a problem

I guess I was asking more literally, what do I do right now.

If I control alt delete and force the program to close, I lose hours of work.

For me, before I threw the switch, all I did was select one of the options in the Server Verification dialog box and I could continue.  I have no idea how to get around it if that does not work, sorry.

Edit: I just thought of something, before you hit anything to close the program, presses Ctrl + Shift + S to save a recovery file.  Of course if you are on a MAC use Control + Shift + S  Screen capture taken from this article.

In followup to my last post EDIT on how to create a Recovery file, this article tells you how to recover the file.

Unfortunately neither ctrl S or ctrl shift S did anything with the window open.

So... yet again... hundreds of dollars in time and labor lost to a known issue.

I appreciate you attempting to help.

You will not see anything on the screen when you press the keys.  Take a look at the document I sent along and look in the mentioned folder for the recovery file.

Had the same problem and recorded it for posterity. My case is slightly different from intermittent network loss. To keep curfews in the house, our gateway will close access at midnight, then back open at 6:30 am. It's not rare for me to work at night then leave Fusion 360 running. Access to the server goes down, the warning dialog pops up. I revisit the app a few hours after server access is restored in the morning but there is no closing of the dialog. And this problem usually ends only when I force quit the app.

I assume the app tries to access the server, fails, and enqueues an error. After several hours, there may be hundreds of errors queued up waiting to be dismissed. If that's the case, any chance we could coalesce identical errors in the queue  into a single event?

I did change the setting in Network preferences, so we'll see what happens tonight.
