Section View In Drawings

When creating a section view inside of Drawings, it gives you the option to select what bodies you want the view to cut, however, no matter what you chose, the section view cuts all the bodies.

In my specific example, I only want Body 7 to be cut in the section view, however, both bodies are showing up in the view when it's created.  I've attached a picture for reference.

Please let me know if I am missing anything, or if there is an issue or a work around solution.

Thank you.

Could you attach the model that this drawing is being made from?  From you screen capture, it is not clear where the section view that is created is showing.

Hello John,

Unfortunately, I can not attach the file due to tight NDA's.

I've attached several more pics for clarification.ISO view, Design Workspace.jpgSection ISO view, Design Workspace.jpgSection view, Drawing Workspace.jpg

Thank you for your time.

I believe the body you are pointing to will appear in the view due to the fact it is not a part of the section.  You section arrow, as far as I can tell, do not cross the thin body around the body you want to section.  I created a Screencast to try and explain on a model of my own.  If you uncheck the body in the section view, you will see the complete width of the unwanted body in the view, if you check it, you will only see the portion of the unwanted body between the section arrows.  Fusion 360 does not have the ability to control section view depth, as of yet, so you only avenue in to turn off the view of the body completely via the browser.

Thank you John for your efforts.  I understand your explanation.  I was under the assumption that the check-boxes were for display purposes of which bodies to include in the section.  It would be nice if they had the option of allowing the user to chose the bodies they want to view in the section view, like we have the options of choosing which bodies appear in the parent view.  I'll find a work around.  Unfortunately, it seems I spend more time working on work arounds than on the design and drawings.

Again, I appreciate your assistance!

Enjoy your weekend!
