Scaling Issues between AutoCAD and Fusion360

I go back and forth between AutoCAD and Fusion360 quite a bit... I always encounter scaling issues... The only way that I know to work around the issue is to place a line that is 10mm in the AutoCAD drawing so that when I import it into Fusion360 I can measure it and know how much it has increased in size.

Form experience, it is either 10x or 25.4x...

Does anyone know how to avoid this?... Looking throught the various forums it seems this issue has plagued the two programs for several years now...

What does the command -dwgunits return in AutoCAD?

This issue can be resolved in about 2 minutes if example files are presented that exhibit the issue.  It is almost alway a case of user not setting intended units in AutoCAD.

I suggest its all about the units that you are working with and have set in each programme. The factor of 10x is likely mm to cm and in your other cases, 25.4 is the scaling factor for mm to inch.

Swarfmaker and CADwisperer thank you for your replies... When starting any new drawing in AutoCAD at the "Get Started" menu on the drop down I select "acadiso3D.dwt" and then begin my 3D drawing... I assumed this would default to mm as my units... however, this evening I double checked, and when I right click and open the options menu and then under "User Preferences" on the insertion scale it has both Source content and Target drawing units listed in inches... is this why I am getting this problem when I transition to Fusion360? I am guessing yes... 

In the future I will go to the Insertion Scale and select mm for both source and target... should this resolve my issue? Or if you have other thoughts please share...
