Reference parameter of Insert Component.

Hello!

I have a Design_A, it has a parameter val=33.
I insert it into Design_B via (click on Desian_A in Data Panel -> Insert Into Current Design)

But it does not allow to access Design_A::val parameter (or I do not know how to).

We can try to insert Design_A into Design_B via Insert -> Insert Derive. This method gives us access to Design_A Favorite parameters, but it "discards" all the Joints Design_A has.
May be this inserting method omits other things. Please tell!

When I try to combine these import methods to insert whole design (first method: not separate objects) and parameter (second method). Fusion does not allow me it. May be you know how to apply both imports?

My workaround:
I store val=33 in serperate file lets call it Design_A_Base. I insert it via second method in both Design_A and Design_B. And I insert Design_A into Design_B via first method. It works.

Please suggest other solution.

Thank You for any your explanations!

Guenther Andersen, thank you for this link!

Video describes in details the solution I called workaround in my question.

I wonder is this the main generally accepted approach?

May be there are alternatives?

Hi,

Just so much, for me it is a solution and not a workaround.
