Recurring error message on shut down. "Cannot close until jobs in progress complete" - Upon reopening components fail to resolve

So usability has gone way down over the last updates, I don't have one session anymore without Fusion crashing or corrupting my work.

Here are the sympthoms :

- "Cannot close until jobs in progress complete" on Fusion Closure.

- Press "Pause Jobs" either it then closes or crashes with sending the crash report.

- When I reopen I get a lot of red components in my assembly and clicking "Resolve component" doesn't do anything.

What I have done in the past (this is basically happening since and only since the last major update from few weeks ago):

- followed the support page detailing this scenario, specifically:

-- renamed the cache folders/redownload => this has caused my to loose work altogether, some components completely disappered, not even found in old/renamed/any cache folders.

-- used the fusion repair utility as per the support page => this has caused fusion to corrupt itself leading to me having to uninstall/re-install everything.

Now everything has been reinstalled from 0.

I still get "Cannot close until jobs in progress complete" and components that don't resolve upon restart forcing me to have to remove them and reinsert them into the assembly.

This has happen to both when I work on my laptop from hotels wifi which agreed might not be stable, but also equaly happens from my other monster computer back home on a optic fiber internet. 2 different computers/network, same problem.

It happens to any part/assembly I work for, it's like everytime I close it.

So what can I do to not loose work ? should I just make it "offline" all the time and avoid the kafafell of cloud saving ?

Hello benoitlescot, thank you for bringing this to our attention. I would like to know if you are able to see the latest changes of the designs you are working on in your teams hub after Fusion closes/crashes ?

Hi Nikhith,

This would have indeed be a clever thing to check, but being a team of 1 I never use team hub, I didn't think about it, in fact I had to look up what it is.. anyway as of now all my work is up to date as I re-created everything but next time it crashes I'll make sure to check.

The fact that after a reinstall and/or cache cleared my work did not appear anywhere tells me the file was not uploaded in the first place... which would match the "upload delayed".

I did searched for it localy in the now renamed cached files folder and found a corresponding "._xx" file which I renamed to f3d (was that the right thing to do ?) an imported into fusion but it told me the file was corrupted. And just to confirm, that "._xx" file was the only trace of my lost work after the crash, no offer to recover anything on startup, and file not found in the data panel search.

thanks for your help
