Read access denied, cannot access files

I've tried restarting fusion 360 several times. I see none of my files when I view my A360 (which I've also never used before, but I see others talking about it). I also cannot access the file I JUST created and saved (I restarted f360 because there was a problem exporting to STL). Help please.

Hi @richard.schneeman

Can you go to the admin view, and select projects? Do you see all of your projects listed there?
I can see several projects listed in the back end that are not showing in your screenshots.

Also, if you could share your diagnostic log files that would be helpful.

Heres what I see when I click admin view and then projects. I've attached some diagnostic logs. Let me know if you need something different. I'm trying to export a pan holder/organizer so I can print it. I just designed it in f360 ten min before opening this issue

Hi @richard.schneeman

Ok - I'm going to need to create an internal ticket to have this fixed. I'll let you know once that's done. In the meantime, try creating a new project and see if you're able to work in there. There may be a locally cached version of the file you were working on you can pull out and upload in...

Cheers,

Karina

It looks like I can make a new project, create a new file and export it as a mesh. That unblocks me in the short term, but long term I'm a bit afraid to do anything requiring a lot of time as I don't want to lose my work randomly.

Let me know if you need anything from me Re: an internal ticket.

Hi @richard.schneeman  Can you try accessing the project now? Somehow in the backend you were removed from your own project... Have you archived/deleted any projects in the past?

Cheers,

Karina

Yes I've archived things before to stay under my f3d limit in the past, but not on this computer. I just tried to access files and I'm still seeing a "read access denied" when trying to sync Screen Shot 2022-04-13 at 4.05.08 PM.png

Can you try accessing files through their respective projects (rather than through the 'my editable documents' view)? I'm curious if this is due to a particular project or if it's hub-wide. Attaching your log files here may help us isolate as well.

Additionally, can you show me what you see when accessing the Teams view?

Cheers,

Karina

Sorry for the delay in response, I'm not getting email notifications when you post, or it's being categorized incorrectly.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I've got no idea how to get to that project view. Is it this? https://capture.dropbox.com/z6l0XTPNceZY70sL? If so, it looks like I'm missing a few projects on that list, also when I click through to a project I see no files.

Maybe we can attack this from a different angle? Is there some sort of delete everything and start over option?  I don't really care about my old files that I've lost. I ended up finding another solution to that home organization project. I've got prior f3d files backed up on printables for old-old files. I just want to be able to make new files and not be worried that I'll lose hours of design time. Maybe the easiest option is to uninstall and sign up with a different email address?

Hi @richard.schneeman

I wouldn't necessarily recommend completely starting over with a new email - you can if you want but it may be a bit drastic haha.  I think the archiving portion maybe be the problem in your workflow. Rather than archiving projects you don't want to continue working on, just mark them 'non-editable' and that will open up a slot for another project to be marked as editable.

To get to your web view, the URL for your hub would be gmail687563.autodesk360.com . You can also access it from here after clicking the dropdown next to your team name:

Try accessing the projects from that view and take screenshots of any errors you see.

Here's a screenshot of that view attached. In general I've not really needed any project-level organization. I mostly put my files in a random project. The only reason I made "panpan" was because I couldn't figure out in the UI where to make a new file without making a new project at the time. Regarding read-only versus archiving. I wasn't aware I was archiving projects. All of this started happening on trying to set up a new computer. I didn't have issues previously on my old laptop.

Ok - now try going to the 'admin' section then go to 'projects':

Hi @richard.schneeman

Were you able to check the admin tab and see if you can view your projects there? You can also change project admin there, I'm wondering if that will help.

Our development team hasn't been able to find anything incorrect in the hub, if you can get additional screenshots with those projects that might be helpful.

Cheers,

Karina
