Errr, English language error messages maybe?

This is a simple 'do a copy and paste new on a component'.

This sounds like something that has already been brought up to our development team. I will let them know there are other instances of this happening.
Are you using copy/paste new on a component that was created from a body (right click on body > create component from body)? Also, does it work if you just do a copy > paste instead of paste new?

It occurs for both Paste and Paste New. I figured out that it's due to a Paste on a component that is already duplicated using a pattern.

The workaround is to only Paste one of the patterned components and then repeat the pattern op after the paste.

Autodesk should at least document "Failed to get owner occurrence transform" and other dodgy error messages with a note on whether each message is the result of a software bug, a model corruption or is a 'feature' - together with the best workarounds and fixes. That would save user time and anxiety.

@alan_ambrose I tried recreating the issue with what you described but wasn't able to do so. Would you be able to share a link to the file that you see this on and clarify which steps to use to reproduce it? If you aren't able to share the file, can you create and share a more generic file that shows the issue? Thanks!
