Project Panel Unresponsive

I am experiencing a problem that sounds like this one...

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/help-created-projects-disappear-from-fusion-360-af...

When I open Fusion 360 I see all of the projects momentarily but they very quickly retreat to the left and then the panel is frozen.  I am able to see the projects and open designs using the "File" pull down on the top menu bar, but I want to build an assembly and only know how to do that by dragging parts in from the project panel.

I have tried clearing cache data, which cleared a frozen project from my project panel and now I only see "My First Project" in a frozen panel, after the projects retreat on opening.

hi @Anonymous

thanks for posting! can you try doing a manual reset of the data panel? if that doesnt work, try restoring the default layout by going to File > View > Reset Default Layout.

Please accept as solution if my post fully resolves your issue, or reply with additional details if the problem persists.

thanks!

Hi Julia,

Thank you for offering your assistance.
I tried the manual reset but found the directory \ProgramData\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360 was empty so I could not rename NsCloudBrowserCache_myhub.dat.  Yes, I checked and hidden files were set to visible.
Then I tried File > View > Reset to Default Layout.  That retired the project panel.  When I reopened the project panel it was still empty and non-responsive.

Hi @Anonymous ,

If you follow the steps to retrieve your diagnostic log files, it should take you to a file location within the autodesk fusion 360 folder (fusion diagnostics data). if you go back one folder to autodesk fusion 360, do you see more folders there now? do you see your user specific ID? if so, continue to follow the steps in resetting the data panel

if that does not work, can you please attach your diagnostic log zip here and attach a screenshot of the data panel?

thanks,

hi @Anonymous ,

thanks for the files! How strange that the data panel is stuck in the one project.... can you please perform an automatic clean uninstall and then reinstall from manage.autodesk.com?

Let me know how this goes,

Hi Julia,

I think I can do better than that.  IT was asking for my computer this morning to kick off the replacement project.  I am going to set this aside for now and in a day or two will see what happens with a new Fusion installation on an new computer.
Wish me luck!  I will check back with you when all of this has been completed.
Cheers,
Kevin

Hi Julia,

The migration to a new computer took care of my problem.  The project panel is working fine now.

Thank you for your help.
