Program Settings lost

Just recently I've been having problems with my "program settings" being lost.

I go to "Post Process" and my settings are not there.

Why are they not saved?

Is there a method to make them permanent?

I use a custom POST and it never changes.

Thanks,

James

Hi @jdholbrook33

Thanks for posting.

I understood that you have changed post properties according to your requirement under the post-processor tab. After the Fusion 360 update, the changes are set to default values.

As of now in Fusion 360, the default values pop up after every update. There is no way to save the post properties changes permanently, under the post-processor tab.

Thanks,

pramod

@jdholbrook33 the response provided above is not quite correct. The settings are supposed to be retained between sessions and Fusion updates. There are a small handful of users who report otherwise, and testing has been elusive in determining the cause of this lack of retention.

Anything I can do to help?

Where are the "Program Settings" stored?

While I only change a few of the settings, it's still a pain to have to change it so often.

Thanks,

James

The NC program settings, assume you never need to change them, should be stored in the post. I'd go into the post processor and manually change what you need, setting True/False as needed. The Manufacture settings (defaults) are stored in an .xml file, but there is a mechanism in the Manufacture > Manage to export them.
