problem with face/body selection

I found this problem occurs quite often, not sure it is a bug or feature, so when I select a face or a body, it will automatically select the bigger one which usually behind the face that I intend to select. it seems that the selection is based on size priority, so every time the face I want to select didn't appear, I need to hold the left mouse to select it from the menu, that's kinda inconvenient when you have to do it frequently. Any solution to solve this problem? thanks!

@Anonymous can you try again by unselecting the option 'Select Through' under the selection filters?
