Make Parameters available (global) to other designs

Hi.  Fairly new to Fusion 360.  I have created a part in one design file using parameters, I want to create a second part in another file but use the same parameters so that both parts are always consistent.  I made the parameters "Favourite  ?" in the fist design file by turning the star yellow, but I can't see them in my new file?  Seems like this should be possible but not sure how to go about it.  Thanks for your help.  Regards Chris.
