Problem posting images to forum

Up until today I have not had a problem posting screenshots to the forums.

Today I tried posting a screenshot, a png, and I get an error message saying png is not a supported file type, try one of the following - "list of a dozen or so file types" . The only file type I recognized was .bmp so I took  a screenshot and saved it as a .bmp and tried uploading it.   Here is a copy/past of the text I get:

The file Screen Shot 2019-12-19 at 9.35.53 AM.bmp is not one of the supported image types: 3dp,3ds,ach,ai,art,ass,asx,avi,axm,bm,bmp,brd,cam,cfz,chm,cps,csv,dbf,dcl,doc,docx,dst,dwf,dwfx,dwg,.

Any idea how I can post screenshots?

Yes I see the same problem. They seem to break stuff every time they try making improvement! Will not even allow bmp even though it's on the list.

Oh, you can attach but I hate using attached pictures as the forum viewer is useless. attachment is of the error

I've made a post on the community forum here. Embedding pictures was working a few hours ago as I made a post this morning and it worked fine then.

Perfect, thanks.  I knew this wasn't the right forum to post.  Hopefully someone over there can solve the problem

Same here, but that makes us two outcasts even misfits amongst the sheer number of forum users that manage to miss the huge photo icon maybe because modern smart phone cameras don't look like DSLR's.

haha, never thought of that angle.  The definition of "camera" has changed.  Reminds me of the (probably not real) story about showing someone from a generation-that-won't-be-named an old 3.5in floppy disk, and the reaction was "dude, you 3D printed the Save icon - cool".  🤣
