Problem combining geometry together error message when attempting a push-pull cu

I have a not so complex shape that is giving me fits.  I am modeling a half-pipe shaped slot in the part.  There are slots runing in both the X and Z axis.  At the intersections there is a round in the x-y plane that rounds off the edges of the body.  When I attempt to do a push-pull cut from the x-y plane up through z to trim off I get an error messase that starts "There is a problem conbining geometry together.  If attempting a join/cut/intersect, try to assure that the bodies have a clear overlap."  I can cuerror message 28 Jul 19.JPGt half way through the slots, but when I attempt to do the cut all the way through the slot I get the error message.

I cleaned up all of the geometry and made sure that I was not working with any open sets - as shown in:
https://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?caas=caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Unable-to-combine-...

When I stopped the cut at exactly at the second wall and clicked OK - the program went of into "Not Responding" mode.      The Bits to Trim.JPG

This image shows the four areas on the top of the part where I want to trim off the excess corner created by the half-pipe slots.  There are four ventral and four dorsal corners to trim.

To trim I made a sketch in the x-y plane that defines the shape of the four trim curves.  I use that shape to create the push-pull trim that creates the rounding of the part.

I use this push-pull to round off the corners. The PushPull Cut on the one side 28 Jul 19.JPG It allows me to do the first set that are .25 from the sketch plane, but gives me the error message when I get past the .50 mark, the other side of the grove.   As soon as i go past the .5 mark I get the combining geometry error message.

If I stop exactly on the .5 mark, Fusion lets me click OK, but then goes into an eneless "not-responding" loop that I can only break using program manager and killing the application.

This is the final screen shot showing how I can pull the cut 28 Jul 19 Screen Shot 1.JPGto .5, and then the applicaion goes into not responding after I hit the Ok button.

i have attempted a number of other ways to make these slots, and they all end up with this error message.

Suggestions?

The very first thing you want to make sure is that your sketches are fully constrained an dimensioned.

In most cases this error message is the result of imprecise modeling practices and often sketches are the root cause.
