Points won't save on .dxf

Hi, I've searched the forum for an answer on this and nothing is coming up to solve my problem specifically. When I save a .dxf with points, those points do not appear in sheetcam. To get around this, someone suggested to export the dxf through the cloud processing first, and although that does work, it scales the dxf incorrectly even though all my settings are correct. Then someone suggested to fix the scaling issue, save as dxf instead of export. You see the problem loop I'm in?

you are correct - Save as DXF of a sketch does not export standalone points, and it should.  I will log a bug for that.

Just following up to see if any progress has been made on the bug in Fusion 360 (FUS-99430) that doesn't export points when using the save as a .dxf function.

no, no progress to report.  In all honesty, I would not expect this bug to be fixed in the near future, unless there are lots of customers complaining about it.  As far as I know, this issue has been around for a long time, and we have not, to my knowledge, received a lot of concerns about it.  Sorry to not have a different answer, just trying to not hide behind an "it's in progress" meaningless answer.

Thanks for the honest reply.  I have seen it posted on other forums with people coming up with workarounds to generate points by using other programs.  In the CNC Plasma cutting world it is necessary to have the points exported out so that they can be used a pierce points for punching at a later operation.
