Performance progressively decays as I select more and more geometry

Good Day,

As the title says, I have issues when I increase the amount of selected geometry and it gets to the point where I can no longer select any and I'm not trying to select more than 20 shapes. I have tried reinstalling, lowering visuals. I didn't have this problem a few months ago. Any tips will be much appreciated.

That'll help us investigate the issue and see the reason for performance degradation.
