PCB component position in Fusion not aligned with component position in Eagle

Hello all,

after moving a component in Fusion, pulling and pushing in Eagle I have a misplaced component in Fusion now.

Why ever the component model is not aligned to the Eagle component position and I can't move the component in Fusion anymore.

My impression is that the origin of the component package is somehow fixed in Fusion.

Please give me a idea how to solve this issue.

UPDATE: Viewing the board in Fusion -> edit sketch -> leave sketch without changes ==> component position is displayed correct?!

But, leaving the file and reopening in Fusion lead to the same problem as before 😞

Welcome to the Fusion 360 community! Thanks for posting. I am sorry to hear that you have been experiencing problems with being unable to move a PCB component in your Fusion 360 design.

It seems like your workflow was to;

1. Move the component in Fusion,
2. Pull to EAGLE,
3. Push back to Fusion,

and at this point, the component has not moved and cannot be moved. But if you edit the sketch of the Fusion board shape, the position will then be shown correctly.

The sketch must be recomputing something that is being missed elsewhere, but it is hard to say what. Does the PCB component move to the correct position if you perform a Modify > Compute All in the design? If so, I would recommend saving the design and then reopening - does the PCB component maintain the correct position then?

It is also possible there was an error during the push/pull process here - what if you roll back to a previous version of the Fusion design and redo the component move and then the push/pull to/from EAGLE? Is the correct position of the PCB component then maintained?

Hello Paul,

thank you for your answer, your understanding of the executed sequence is correct.

Your suggestion "Modify => Compute all" solved the problem.

I've made also other tests by myself and the result was, that the problem seem to be in Fusion only. I removed the Eagle <-> Fusion link and pushed from Eagle a new Fusion model. This shows the correct component alignment.
