Pattern On Path failing when patterning a feature

I'm following a tutorial that uses dogbones and when I try to pattern a feature(a cut) it fails to space properly and sometimes it fails all together. Any idea where I'm going wrong? I tried the same process repeatedly with the same result and then I tried it with a component and it worked perfectly every time.

It seems weird to me also but use "Faces" instead of "Features" and it works OK.  You can select all the faces with a window if you would like.

That worked I spent  4-5 hours checking different settings and combing the forums to see if there was a solution I tried Faces like you showed and it worked perfectly.
