Not sure why when aligning a component Fusion's back to also flipping it but that's fine I can just hit the flip button. Well wait the flip button also rotates the body. I hit the flip button:

Not the flip and rotate button:

Why would you use Align when a Joint is so much more usable and better defined??

I don't want to. When I hit "flip" is it supposed to flip the part or flip and rotate the part?

Use the right tools for the right tasks and stop running into avoidable issues?
It's going to align the faces in the manner is deems best. It's a crude tool at best, or something to be avoided at worst.

I believe I am using the correct tool for the job it's just not behaving as it should.

I don't actually think this is a bug, but always happy to be proven wrong (I learn something each time I'm wrong).

If we repeat the workflow using the Joint tool and flip the part, we see that it, too, is flipping around. It looks like the Flip button is rotating the part around on the X axis, when I think what you're expecting is the Y axis to be the deciding "flip" axis:

The button is called "flip" and not "flip but also rotate sometimes". Fusion should have all the necessary information on which direction to flip based on the selections I have made. I could be wrong but this seems plain as day.
