Fixes and Improvements:

Usability

  • Windows formatted shortcuts like CTRL + C and CTRL +X incorrectly appeared in macOS marking menu.
  • You’re now able to access the replace command from the  Component icon in the Timeline.
  • Trackpad Pan and Orbit input was lost after you switched from Drawings to Design workspace.
  • Unable to upload/import SolidWorks assemblies into Fusion 360.
  • After you switched teams from the Data Panel, Fusion 360 froze when you tried to open an assembly document.
  • While trying to open a drawing, the "Could not open file" notification appeared, which caused Fusion 360 to hang indefinitely.
  • Fusion 360 failed to download results for an Event Simulation study in the Simulation workspace.

API

Design

Electronics

  • The dots style for Grids on a 2D layout file appears as black instead of grey/white
  • In SMD Pad Array dialog, you can now create a pad array without entering a Base Name without errors.
  • Duplicated outlines incorrectly appeared when you performed a Show Profile in 3D PCB.
  • 3D package was missing in the 3D PCB if there were German signs in the foot-print name.
  • Fusion 360 crashed when you tried to double click the thumbnail in ECAD project file (complex file) during launch.
  • When selecting preference changes for Electronics settings, 'Apply' did not re-activate when another change is made.
  • Duplicate net members will show up in the Net Classes dialog after moving or copy/paste devices/nets to a new sheet.

Drawing

  • Placing a Drawing view caused Fusion 360 to hang indefinitely.

Manufacture

  • The chuck in turning simulation did not check for collisions. Now it does.
  • Fixed an issue generating certain turning profile roughing operations with canned cycles turned on a...
  • Fixed a visual issue on 2d pocket selections.
  • Missing or wrong cutting paths at corners have been fixed for Engrave strategy.
  • Engrave operation now successfully create toolpath for toolpath that contains circles.
  • Fixed possible missing cutting path in Engrave with enabled multiple depths.
  • Errors for relative positions of height planes were inconsistent.
  • Turning setup wouldn’t recognize mesh component as a solid stock.
  • We fixed a Cross Team Reference error that was happening while saving design with an existing machine profile from a Local machine that was created on the different hub.
  • The Machine Builder would incorrectly create a new machine with a blank name and only showed the .mch extension.
  • Smooth links can have very large arcs in the vertical plane, Straight-links were lifted off the part by the vertical-arc radius of the leads, and No Contact links retracted and did not stay down. Smooth links now stay down and are not lifted off the part at all. Straight links are no-longer lifted off the part by the Vertical Lead Radius, and their connection to the cutting moves are no-longer tangential. No change for No Contact links.

All of my projects are missing after this update. Cannot be accessed from Data Panel or the File > Open menu. I only have the samples now!

Trying clearing your Cache, log out of Fusion 360, restart your computer and open and log into Fusion 360.

Thank you. This resolved the issue and triggered some firewall notifications that were not coming up before.

After the last update(s) I can't open one of my designs (from March 2022).

It freezes, and on the loading line I can see only the part of the text: "...?ading CAM data: Operations: Updati?.."

Latest update locked me out, with a message that my OS is not supported. Win 8.1 should be supported until 3/23, and Fusion should continue to work thereafter, albeit without updates.

I get the workspace, but the message only has the option to quit. 😧

This update is really close to giving us solid color hatching!  My workaround for this is to set the hatch color, then change the scale to something very small, like 0.05.  This basically makes the hatch lines touch each other appearing as a solid color.  The only problem is that the hatch linework is in "front" of the part linework.  It would be great to change this arrangement of layering if possible!

This UPDATE has killed me, I keep loosing the files I have spend endless hours on.

I do not want to loose this file.

I am already looking at dumping this software for an alternative.

Can anyone help please?

I was able to resolve my issue using the Fusion 360 Service Utility, reset process.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Ove...

Support never did contact me other than the initial auto-responder. (I'm a commercial licensee, btw.)

Hi,

I have had nothing but problems.

This has costed me to much in time and money.

I have lost my file a dozen times and I have had to redraw and or
reprogramme the cam to many times and some days I have called it quits.

The icing on the cake was when I lost my save version and the system took
me back to V37.

I am having second thoughts about Fusion 360 and I have started looking for
software which is not web based.

I have tried calling you and the phone system is speaking French for some
reason.

Do you have any other software you can offer which is not web based?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best REgards,

Steve

Sadly, my issue has returned after closing and restarting Fusion.

This should never happen... the latest blog post states that Fusion will continue to work, even if the OS is no longer updating, after 2/2023.

3d Connexion spacemouse doesn't work in sketches at all after last update.  Driver problem?

Edit: Seems to have been temporary glitch... even restart didn't work so I assumed it was a bug. Works now.

They basically just killed my ability to use the paid for Fusion 360 app on my Mac. My Mac runs just fine but Adobe and Autodesk won't update anymore. The laugh is on Apple's sorry a** and the low rent way they do  business. I'll switch to windows before I support those losers.

Update:

In the process of gathering diagnostic files to send to Autodesk support, I stumbled on the Service Utility's button to launch Fusion. This was successful getting past some "gatekeeper" and Fusion could be run, just not via the usual launch buttons.

After quite a few exchanges with Autodesk support and escalation to engineering, they determined that it was an issue on their end.

So, it is fixed for my issue.

I do intend to update my Fusion host computer to Win 10, but up until now the "ain't broke" rule has applied.
