A friend sent me a .f3d file, which I then uploaded into Fusion.

I see no thumbnail for the item, and when I open the file there appears to be no content.

Can anyone assist me is determining why I cannot access the file?

Can you please attach the F3D file in question?  Also, you need to find out how your friend Exported the F3D file from Fusion before sending it to you.  Here is the proper process, see if they follow it.

If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it. You can also attach the resulting file to an email. If needed, ZIP a F3Z file.

yes, I can verify that that design is completely empty.  You need to go back to the person who sent you this file, because it seems they sent you the wrong file.  Nothing we can do on this end, I'm afraid

Thanks Jeff.  Per chance, can you please educate me on the correct steps to export a file and send by email?  I can pass it along to my friend.  Thanks again.

You did not read message #2 where I explained the process.
