new way to select object - with a blue box

I need to scale a sketch with a lot of organic lines and arcs all over the drawing area.  When i select scale , a blue box appears as the selection tool but does not allow for a 'bounding box'.  this blue box stinks for selecting a lot of objects across a large area.  How do you activate the bounding box for selecting?

I don't really know what you are talking about here, with a "blue box".  There are no new selection methods that I am aware of.  When you say you want to "activate the bounding box for selecting?", are you talking about Window select mode?  If so, look here, under the Select dropdown, and see whether Window Selection is the current mode.  If not, choose it:

For future folks looking for this, the blue box mentioned above is what the cursor looks like in "Paint Mode" under the selection menu. I found this thread because I was also searching for the "blue box selection" in Fusion. Going back to "Window Selection" under that menu as Jeff mentioned worked for me. I have no idea why the program switched to Paint Mode instead of Window Mode, but it has done that multiple times on me recently (2025).
