Bodies appear differently than joint configuration

Hi,

I am trying to simulate fixturing for a CNC mill operation by using a serrated and v grooved jaw. My goals are to make the bodies parallel and bottom surfaces align to the same plane. (if you can image how they would slide on a vice)

One issue Im having occurs when I close the joint window the bodies revert back to their original orientation as if the edit I made did not go into effect. How can I make the bodies appear as they are depicted in the joint window? ( see images below)

IMAGE 1: view of bodies while having the edit joint window open.

IMAGE 2: Body position after closing edit joint window. If you look closely, they are slightly angled.  (bodies do not match set up in IMAGE 1)

Thanks!

Second picture shows a red joint icon, that Joint is now in error.
There is more to your story, but you didn’t mention the broken joint.

Might help…..

Hi @austinreyes0323, is it possible to share the design file so we can investigate further?
