New Component Not Applying Default Material Settings

I've been noticing this issue for a while now-

In my Preferences, I have my default material set to STEEL ASTM A36, but it keeps applying the 60Sn40Pb (Aluminum material) instead, along with its appearance.

Thought I'd bring it up- it's extra steps when I go to create a drawing and the material in my parts table shows as Aluminum when it should be Steel.

Here's a video-

tried a load of stuff to sort this out, cleared caches, complete reinstall after deleting all autodesk folders, resetting supposed setup files
what finally worked was the simplest, opened the Preferences window > bottom left corner Reset Defaults
obviously had to go through setting up all my preferences again but the material option now behaves as expected

prior to the reset one of the features of the issue was that the drop down lists for "Physical Material Category" & Physical Material Name" would not be present on first opening the Preferences window, they would only appear on a second opening but then the chosen preference would not be retained

Seemingly "Preferences" are stored as part of the Autodesk Account ID to enable the user to experience the same settings across multiple pc's, so my thoughts are somehow my preferences cloud file got corrupted

Thanks for doing some testing on this, @Brian-ALE

I did what you tried (although I didn't go through the reinstall process as I'm in the middle of work right now), which was restore my preferences to the default and reset the default materials to what I want it as again- but it's still giving me the same trouble as before.

Once I have the time, I'll probably try deleting all the Fusion folders and reinstall to see what that does...
