Multiple decals not show properly in render

Good day,

I am working on livery design for my school project, FP-01 , and I runned into problem when I put multiple decals to model. In the Enviroment it shows properly, but in render (In-canvas or cloud) some parts of top / last added decals not show. I tryed aply them with and without Chain Faces, in both cases these parts are not visible in render.

I searched on the Internet and did not find anything like that, some ideas?

Hi @kisspXJAD4

Welcome to the Fusion 360 forums. The website was very cool, thanks for the link! Apologies for the late response.

Was the design saved between adding the new decals and entering the rendering environment? If not, please try saving the design and let me know if that allows the new decals to be rendered as expected. I would also begin troubleshooting by saving, closing, and reopening the design.

Is there anything unique about the affected decals? Are the a different file format than the others, or could there be a difference in the geometry they are applied to (surface vs. solid body, etc)?

Hopefully this helps! If you'd like to share the design with me, I am happy to have a deeper look. You can keep the design private by direct messaging me a downloadable link.

I've had this problem, and noticed that when doing an in-canvas rendering it was only the decals of the component selected in the browser that were being rendered. The solution is to  select the document title in the browser before rendering, which make all the decals in the model visible when rendered.

Hi, I am sorry that I did not answer, I had my account on school email which I do not visting often... I noticed your reply now, when I changed mail to my private.

All decals was png, applied on a solid body, saved before entering an enviroment.

I think that the problem was in overlaying the decals. I needed renders back then, so I re-applied all decals and it worked.

I will look into previous versions and I will send you the corrupted and also working design.

Hi,

Your reply was quick as I only posted today! I have just come across this problem myself and saw your post when trying to figure out a solution.

Glad to hear that your decals now seem to work okay. It may be that we had a different issue.

Another point to bear in mind is that when you save and re-open a document, by default the browser reverts to having the model title selected (i.e. the whole model); then all decals will initially be visible for rendering, until you select a component.

I had a decal issue where only the active component would show properly. By hovering over the project name you can click on and  activate the whole project which fixed my issue. 🙂
