Many objects have disappeared from my file

This file is on version 13, and if I open up 1 or 2 versions ago, they're also missing about half their objects. If I go one version further, everything is back, minus the work I did between then and the most recent version (Or at least what the most recent version should be).

Everything in this file is sensitive material.

I make consumer products, and I have a collection of products revolving around one particular focus. I have been working on one single file that has the full collection, and suddenly today, half of the objects are just gone. Now, by what I described, you might think that it's simply objects or components imported in and some have disappeared, but it's much more than that, but I can't really go into detail.

Do you have an active Section Analysis?

Do you have Capture Design History enabled?

Do the missing objects (Surface Bodies? Solid Bodies? Components?) still populate the browser?

Any unresolved issues highlighted in the Timeline?

Does Ctrl b (CMD b on Mac) return any errors?

If you rewind the Timeline back to the beginning and then play forward one step at a time is there a step where something unexpected occurs?

So many unanswered questions.  Probably more to come.

I cleared the cache and it's still doing it.

Not sure what else I can do.

Edit: Sorry I posted this before seeing your reply

You could answer some of the unknowns.

Without the actual file the diagnosis is dependent on a game of 20 questions.

A who-what now?

Yes

There are only bodies and components made of bodies, and no, they no longer appear in the browser.

Any unresolved issues highlighted in the Timeline?

Not that I can see.

If you rewind the Timeline back to the beginning and then play forward one step at a time is there a step where something unexpected occurs?

I started doing this... but it was taking SOOOOooo long, I decided to try Ctrl b.

Does Ctrl b (CMD b on Mac) return any errors?

After doing this, 90% of my objects were there, and I could see errors in the timeline. I hit Ctrl B again, and everything was back and no errors. No idea what that hotkey actually does, but thank you so much, it fixed all my problems!
