Manage lost projections - Cannot fix or delete

When I have lost projections that I do not want to Re-link, I'm unable to delete them individually or Delete All in the Manage Lost Projections window.

@Brady_Fulton - can you share the design here that is showing this problem?  You should always be able to delete or break missing projections from that dialog.  We'd like to take a look.

Sorry, that file is IP for work, so no sharing.

My workaround was to re-link the face projection to another irrelevant face. Then I was able to delete it in the sketch.

I've had it happen a couple times now, if it does it again, I'll do a screencast recorder and share that (ok'd by boss).

understand about the IP restrictions.  If you happen to run into it in a design that you can share, we'd definitely be interested in seeing it.

I ran across a missing feature that I could not delete. I had to redefine the sketch plane. I think I have been forced to redefine the plane before without having the option to manage lost projections. 

The sketch in question is 'Sketch1' on the 'base_knuckel:1' component. I resized the reference geometry and I was unable to delete the lost 'Face 1' . Again, redefining the plane fixed the issue.

That redefine sketchplane tip is actually so helpful! I've been struggling with these "ghost" projections that aren't supposed to be there any more forever, this is the only fix that works for me other than redoing the sketch

So there is no real fix to Ghost projections?

Also, my intersections and projections are just not very robust.

Sure i'm fairly new to Fusion 360 (i have 14 yrs with Solidworks), but I am finding the projection and intersection tools untrustworthy as they fail or can be moved after creating.

This is happening when trying to make configurations, but I think I need to come up with a better solution than reference intersections and projections as it explodes the whole file when resizing.

Is there a better way to model in fusion?

The problem with redefine sketch plane is it will convert all your projections to fixed and the sketch will no longer be parametric so any changes to your model will no longer update the sketch. I guess if there's no way to fix a lost projection, as a last resort you could use redefine then delete everything and then reproject.

Had this problem today. Had some "Intersections" that were lost projections and wouldn't delete. I was able to relink them to random geometry and then everything was happy. Oddly, I don't think the random geometry I linked them to showed up in the sketch afterwards, but I wasn't paying close attention. Unfortunately I can't share the file, but this isn't the first time it's happened to me, so I'll keep an eye out for a file I can share.

This is incredibly frustrating, thought I had found a fix, but it breaks all projections?!?!

God this is infuriating,

What is the point of this if it doesn't work at all?!

Update:

relinking let me subsequently manually delete them, tedious but the best option available.
