Make Align command (semi-)permanent

I also use SolidWorks.  I would prefer to switch 100% to Fusion 360.  However, I am still getting used to building Assemblies.  I somewhat recently learned of the Align command and I really like its simplicity.  Except the parts don't stay aligned.  In SW works, once the parts are mated the mates stay locked in place and give an error if you try to do something that moves or breaks the mate.  But in F360, if you align a part and then later make other alignments that might move the previous alignment, then the parts move and its as if the previous alignment never existed.  It would be much better, if we at least had the option of fixing the aligned parts in place so that later alignments don't accidentally move parts without at least a warning or error message.  Here, I am mostly referring to fixed joints not movable joints such as formed using the Joint command.

This is what Joints are for.  Align is not intended to be a "Mate".  As you've discovered, Align does not remember anything, and is a one-time operation.  Joints, however, are associative to the referenced geometry.  I understand your request, but, in all honesty, that is unlikely to happen any time soon, if ever.  Sorry not to have a different answer here.

Use Joints the same as you would assembly constraints in SolidWorks.

There is a Rigid Joint.
