macOS: Focus issues (highlighting, selecting, etc.)

I'm not sure how to describe this one well, but I will try. Also, I'm sorry if this is a duplicate, but I couldn't find the relevant post if this issue has already been identified.

This has been a longstanding issue with Fusion 360 on macOS (at least as long as I've used it—since 2016 November). Regularly, I will perform an action (begin an operation, start a sketch, etc.—I don't think the specific action matters) and then I will not be able to highlight or select objects due to what appears to be a focus issue. Many times, but not all the time, a tooltip corresponding to the action is displayed statically in a seemingly random location (perhaps where the pointer was when the focus issue was triggered?). It is a recurring issue that happens almost every time I use the software, but, at the moment, I haven't been able to identify steps to reliably reproduce the issue.

If I am running F360 in full screen mode (it has its own Space in macOS), then I can temporarily fix the issue by moving the mouse pointer upward to the very top of the screen to reveal the Menu Bar and then moving it back down to let the Menu Bar hide again.

The issue is demonstrated in the AU video (starting at 29m 8s): http://au.autodesk.com/au-online/classes-on-demand/class-catalog/classes/year-2016/fusion-360/pd1957.... In the video, the speaker blames the issue on "projector delay".

I have also uploaded the relevant excerpt from that video to YouTube so that I could embed it here and so that you don't have to navigate the timeline to that specific part:

Hopefully my description along with the video is enough to identify the issue.

Will someone from the Autodesk support team or development team please respond with the reference number for this issue in the development backlog once it's captured so that we know it's identified and being addressed? Thanks!

There are plenty of reports and conversations regarding this topic or a similar issue in Fusion 360. We have found for some users a propensity for the issue to occur if you are switching back and forth between Fusion 360 and a Google Chrome window (FUS-36422).

There's another issue where the steps to reproduce are:

1.  Post a comment in a model.

2. Click on the posted comment in the Comment dialog.

3.  Click in canvas, it is now unresponsive as in the steps noted earlier.

4.  Zoom a little, the model becomes selectable again.

Reported as (FUS-36950)

If you have specific steps to reproduce the issue, I will be happy to create a report.

Thank you,
