This file has been causing me headaches for a long time now, but this update has exacerbated the effects. I was hopeful when I first opened it and got the following message,

as I thought maybe the randomly disappearing configurations would all come back now. (The first time after the update this had 15 configurations to repair. Now it's perpetually 1) But no, half of the repaired configs are duplicates and one of them causes major issues when you try to move, delete, or ignore it.

The row vanishes if you reorder any of the rows,

or destroys the configuration table if you delete the problematic row, forcing you to close and reopen the file to do anything else with it. Once relaunched, they all reappear though.

Saving the edited file gives a cloud save error,

and creating a drawing is impossible because the file is "temporarily" unavailable. This final error also locks Fusion until I force quit it. Gave it over an hour the first time since I was away from my PC anyway.

How do I fix this other than scrapping the entire project and starting from scratch on it, and breaking this out into multiple projects to avoid having this many configurations ever again? I have a dozen or so drawings that have been made off it already, and exporting then reimporting the model didn't even fix it when I tested that previously anyway.

@ccyokes , could you close Fusion and clear the cache as described in this article and reopen the file again.  We had another user that reported the same kind of issues today and after clearing the cache the problems went away.  Also, are you using a Windows or Mac machine?

@ccyokes This is a new improvement to repair the corrupted data - it caused some issues for you. Could you try to clear your local Fusion cache and then open the design again? After that, you can delete the duplicated rows which are recovered in the configuration table. Save the file and it should be fine now.

Thanks,

Steven

This appears to be working now. I was unable to open the latest version since that was locally saved only due to the saving issue, but opening a previous version was fine. Configuration table all looks good too now. That erroneous row seems to have been a ghost because it isn't in this table now that I've cleared cache. I am on Windows 11 by the way.

Great to hear that @ccyokes .  Thanks for confirming.

Interesting. Opening it the next day results in this.

After repairing, it looks like all the previously missing configurations have now returned. The sorting is off since they all came back at the bottom of the list and it is very slow to sort them due to file size so it's hard to tell for certain, but the count looks like what I remember from the initial design now.

Why these weren't found yesterday after the last fix though, I have no idea.
