Keyboard/typing input lag

Hi,

Does anyone else here have input lag when they type in to leader or a text box in drawings? Admittedly I type and move around F360 quickly but in the last couple of months I've noticed the beginning of what I'm typing is often missing.

Eg. instead of ABCDEFGH, it becomes CDEFGH etc (Missing the first characters).

This doesn't seem to happen in any application other than F360 and is quite disruptive when you're zipping around making notes and labels on drawings.

Note: I am using a wireless keyboard/mouse but again, this doesn't happen in any other software.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers,

- Matt

Hey Matt,

I just tried typing in a leader and a text box as zippy as I can 🙂
I wasn't able to reproduce, I'm also on a wireless keyboard. Is there a chance that your batteries are low?

You could also try clearing your cache.

Thanks,

Hi Kyle,

Thanks for the reply.

I've recently replaced the batteries in my keyboard but for good measure, I've put in a new set but the issue remains. I've also tried clearing the cache and while that didn't fix the issue, the project browser and app over all seems to run a lot better so thanks for that. 🙂

Is the lag only in the drawings workspace?

Yes, this is only in the drawing workspace. I've tried several models from basic to a more complicated one, in case the model complexity contributed to delay, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

It seems to either not pickup the keystrokes up or (at least in testing) it opens the 'drawing shortcuts' menu.

I might just have to slow down a bit. 🙂
