Issue with sketch view

I am running a problem with sketching view. After selecting "create sketch" followed by the selection of the plane where I want to sketch, the normal (perpendicular) view of the selected plane doesn't show up unless I click "look at" in the sketch palette. Similarly, after done sketching, it doesn't return to the home view; the sketch plane remains there unless I click home view. I want to have a sketch plane's normal view when I want to sketch and return to home view every time I am done with sketching but I can't figure out the problem though I've selected "perspective with ortho faces" in the setting. Guidance to overcome this issue will be appreciated. Thanks......

Start a sketch again. Create a plane. Locate the Sketch Palette on the right side of the screen.

Turn off the "3d sketch" there.  Finish the sketch.

Now it should work fine. 🙂
