Install & re-install fails with System Cannot Find File Specified

An update failed, so I uninstalled, but cannot reinstall. The last two lines of the attached log file are:

 

  File "R:\Core\Neutron\Installer\Streamer\src\adsk\dls\streamer\windows\native.py", line 161, in Save
_ctypes.COMError: (-2147024894, 'The system cannot find the file specified.', (None, None, None, 0, None))

 

Please advise what is causing this. The Windows 10 laptop has adequate resources and has run Fusion 360 before.

 

I have uninstalled, run Disk Cleanup and rebooted but no luck installing thereafter. AV is standard Windows 10 Defender (no 3rd party AV).

Hi @3DWORX,

 

Can you try some of the solutions posted in this link here? Normally this is due to old remnants of an install lurking around.

Give a try to disabling windows defender's firewall and see if it works.
Worked for me. The installer is clearly doing something it shouldnt.
