Insert Parts into construction with parametric coordinates and rotation

Hello im using Fusion 360 2.0.8412, and i want to create an assemlby consisting out of parts wich have a parametric design.

So i have all the parts in seperate files and want to insert them in one "Assembly"-File. I can do that by right click an "insert in current construction" (im using it in german so dont know if this is the popup message is translated exactly this way).

I can set the position of the parts either by Point-To-Point or by manually enter XYZ translation and rotation.

But now if i change parameters in on part, say the thickness, the position of the other parts doesnt change and the so the parts are floating in the air or clipping into each other.

So how can i position the parts in way that they "stick" to one antoher in a way i determine. Or how do i create a positional relation between the parts. Or any parametrization of the positions.

In the pictures i have to interlocking beams. I the first picture both parts are positioned and in the second picture i changed the height of one beam. The other beam should move up to provide the same physical connection.

You need to start using assembly Joints instead of just positioning components.  Joints can add and take away degrees of freedom and also relate components together.
