This is partially a feature request and potentially a bug
Possibly a bug: Attempting to drag and drop a .f3d file to a running instance of fusion360 will show "copy" following the courser, insinuating that it'll let you actually drag and drop the .f3d file into fusion, and import the file. When dropped nothing happens.
Some context, I am moving to a different account under a startup license, and have about 150+/- .f3d files I wish to move over. Luckily I was able to cache all of my projects in minutes and pull the .f3d files from my appdata. (the file names are all a mess but better than exporting one by one)
Now my issue is the importing. If i could leave my once instance of Fusion open and drag and drop/ rename and save in folders that would be a pain, but WAY better than double clicking on each .f3d file AND OPENING A NEW INSTANCE OF FUSION360 for each file i wish to import! Goodness this will take forever, even on my SSD. Plus unnecessary wear on my SSD, reading and opening a new instance of Fusion is a terrible way to go about this.
Any ideas? I't would be nice if there was an option to import a set or a folder of .f3d files all at once, dump them in a random folder and let the user move and rename them once in fusion. Honestly I'd just be happy if i could drag and drop my .f3d files into my open instance of Fusion, save and on to the next one, on to the next one, on to the next one. Ja feel?
Thanks for any help, suggestions, or updates to fusion that addresses this inefficiency.
sorry for the wall of text!
