I cannot renumber balloons

Hi, I tried to apply the instructions told in this page: How to change balloon numbering in a 2D-Drawing in Fusion 360 | Fusion 360 | Autodesk Knowledge Netw...

but it does not work for me, presumably because of up dated version of fusion 360.

once I select any balloon, then all balloons are being numbered with the same number.

I shall be thankful for help.

Sincerely,

I tried to replicate your issue but the function works for me.  I am using Fusion 360 version 2.0.13377 on Windows 10 Pro computer.  You can see from my Screencast that it functions as it should.  It would help if you would create a Screencast showing your steps, there may be something you are doing differently.

hi, thank you for your  reply. when I attempt to select any balloon , it automatically selects all of them at the same time and gives the same number to all of them , so the issue is not resolved unfortunately.

maybe I am doing something wrong at somewhere else. 😞

That is why I asked for a Screencast from you.  With it be very deliberate on your sequence that you use from placing the original parts list to the renumbering of the balloons.  Using it maybe someone can spot something you are doing different.

Hi, I add a photo of screen. After the selection it will automatically number all parts with "6". note please selection of each parts one by one is not possible . when I touch any part it automatically chooses all parts at the same time.

Thanks again .

It would seem that you are using a single component in your assembly from your picture.  If this is the case, this is the problem.  Please attach the assembly model you are using to create your drawing parts list.  Below I am attaching a simple assembly of a model steam engine.  You will have to save it to your cloud directory then create an 2D drawing and add a parts list.  Then try your Renumbering method on it.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

A picture may be worth a thousand words but a Screencast video is worth ten thousand.  Why do you resist creating a Screencast of your issue.  It is a free application!

yes it really works on the model you provided  .Presumably there might be an issue on what the  program perceives as "component" , because I drew some complex forms and   in spite of this it did not  work correctly.

but as it said ,I can accept the provided explanation as a solution

many thanks.
