How to loft irregular shape to circle.

I am having trouble using the Loft tool to join two objects together.

Very new user to Fusion360, so likely I have drawn incorrectly.

Project is for a fan duct from 120mm PC fans to a larger 6inch aircon vent. Just looking to join them up and 3D print them.
Similar to https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/1474413829/double-120mm-fan-duct-shrouds-to-6-inch but with difference spacing.

Any help would be great

Break it down to smaller tasks, New sketches help with shaping.

Origin should have been in the centre of the model.  Who knew the two holes in the plate are not symetric.

First iteration may not be what you want.

Further review of your construction, use symmetry where possible.

Blue, orange and white sketch articles will keep you awake at night.

Move Tool should not be used, build in place, and let Fusion do the hard yards.

A 6-inch pipe would not be 143.5 dia.

My example file, with your measurements.

Might help....

Hi,

If the walls in sketch 9 are symmetrical and fillets are added later, it will be quite neat.

Looking at the timeline of your design, it is very inefficient and causes you to work harder than necessary.

As has been mentioned already, if something is symmetrical, the origin should be in the center.

Maybe only sketch and design half of it and then mirror features or geometry.

I can create a screencast if you are interested.

Can be a 1/4 sketch, surface Loft with tangency, and later 2 mirrors. (File was supplied)

Thankyou all so much for your feedback. The videos were also very helpful and gave me a much better understanding of the software.

I have now updated my model, 3D printed the part and now happily connected to the top of my server rack.

Thanks all 🙂
