How do i save an stl file to the cloud

When i try to make my cad to an STL file it gives me a type of warning that tells me that

:This file type requires cloud translation, but the design has not been saved to the cloud. Please save the design and try again, or choose another file type. I know that i need to save it on the cloud but how can  i do that.

But when i go to the left upper corner to save or save as those buttons are closed so that i cant klick on them.
What do i need to do to be able to save my cad desingns as stl files?

Hi

Thanks for posting. Fusion is asking you to save your raw file first in the cloud in it's default format (f3d) in the cloud. Just click save button and locate the project folder (in the cloud) to save your file.

After that you can "save as" or "export" it as stl or any other format as you want.

It is a safety protocol to have a backup of your original file. Stl doesn't save your design history or nurbs format. So, you need to save the fusion file first in the cloud. Another matter is, stl is directly converted in the cloud (not in software) that's why it requires the raw file in the cloud and also informs you that the operation requires cloud translation.

Thanks again.

With all due respect... What?  There is no option to save to "cloud"

Check out the recorded steps in the Zip attachment. (Displays images bes when unzipped and opened with Internet Explorer)

Hello,

Don't use the menu "File > Export" to export the design in a STL file. It's a waste of time due to data transfer to the Autodesk servers.

Use the "Print" tool under the UTILITIES tab. Or right click on the body/component name in the browser and choose "Save as Mesh".

=> How to export an STL file from Fusion 360
