How do I delete Fusion

I am bandwidth limited and for the past several weeks my bandwidth usage is very high. I am concerned that fusion downloads may be causing the problem and tried to uninstall the program, but get a message "could not find uninstaller to launch". Can you tell me how to uninstall it. Besides that the program does not work. It did at one time, but when I uninstalled Apple icloud for the same bandwidth problem Fusion quit working: says it cannot find some file. Thank you. Phil

Will that procedure cause any problems with Inventor or Simulation Mechanical. I use those on a daily basis and do not want to lose those. Thanks.

That worked-mostly. I cannot delete "Web Services" I get the message "The action can't be completed because the file is open in A360" The file is webservices.log. I click close file and try again, but it does not work. The rest of them deleted okay. Is not being able to delete web services going to be a problem? Thanks. Phil pjquenzi@gmail.com

Hi @pquenzi,

Thank you for your response! I think restarting the computer will allow you to delete the file. Please let me know if that helps!

Restarting does not let me delete it. There are two directories under weservices, one is webservices.log and the other is webservices.log.lock. I was able to manually delete all entries in webservices.log but could not access weservices.log.lock and was still not able to delete webservices. I tried renaming the diectories but it won't let me do that either.

I am just about to do a test of bandwidth usage to see if this helped. Usage was previously 2Gb/hr which gets pretty expensive when every Gb over my monthly limit of 20 costs me $10.

Thank you for your response! I'm sorry I didn't notice this earlier but it seems like you need to kill the following processes before deleting the file.

  • A360service.exe
  • Adsync.exe
  • Autodeskdesktopapp.exe

Please let me know if this helps!

How do I do that? I found A360 in task manager and disabled it, but that did not work. Phil. pjquenzi@gmail.com

Thank you for your response! I was able to do so in the Processes tab of task manager. Are you on Windows or Mac?

However, I believe it won't affect data usage as long as Fusion is not active.
