When designing configured models, sometimes I have seen it happen where a component (usually a leg) has its body carried over from a different configuration and becomes selectable in the new configuration, despite not being created anywhere. In this example, Leg A has 3 different sizes at 1.5, 2, and 2.25 inches square. Same dado layout in each. The sketch is made with a user parameter that controls this. It was working normally until at a seemingly random time they suddenly start sticking. Now as you change through the configurations, the incorrect sizes linger on and cause things to become very difficult to see and work with.
This file is especially bad because there is also a configured bottom horizontal that is sticking as you change unit quantity. Hrz A:3 and Hrz B:2 are created by a rectangular pattern, but the pattern quantity is set to 1 in this configuration which should be preventing them from being generated in the first place. You can even grab them and move them around, but no option shows up to capture position or revert position since they are not real components. Even weirder, when you select the configurations, everything works as normal. It's only when you use the dropdowns on one of the configurations that all the visual errors occur.
The file I am including has 4 configurations, please toggle between them to see that it works as intended and then go to configuration 1 and change the series to Hampton, and the frame to RW. You should see the legs fully duplicated now, and the horizontals will probably also freak out. Then change the number of units to 2 and back to 1, more duplication inconsistency.
Edit: "The attachment's 1k water station broken demo v7.f3z content type (application/fusion) does not match its file extension and has been removed." Bruh. Okay here's a share link instead I guess. https://a360.co/3YELgKX
Trying to remove the false component also gives a weird result.
